The thriving capital of Rwanda, nicknamed the Singapore of Africa, Kigali is the gateway to the country. It surprises with its modern buildings dominating the wooded topography of the city. On your arrival, you meet your guide who accompanies you to the hotel for your first night on Rwandan soil. The Retreat, as its name suggests, is an ideal first stop to rest after long hours of flying.

After having your first Rwandan breakfast in the hotel’s bamboo dining room, your driver awaits you for a 3-hour journey, along scenic roads to Akagera National Park: your luxury tour begins from now. After an hour’s journey through the heart of this park, you discover the Magashi camp, the first heavenly lodge in a long series. Nestled on the edge of the lake, the suites open onto the spectacular landscapes of lakes, forests and low mountains, which you explore on foot in the afternoon.

A very complete day of discovery of the Park awaits you: breakfast must not be forgotten because you are leaving this morning for a safari in an open car. Back at the lodge, you will meet the actors of the Park and discover their projects, their daily lives to protect the fauna and flora of Akagera. On your return, don’t forget a moment of rest at the swimming pool or in your room at the end of the day because a unique night safari awaits you after dinner.

To save you time and help you discover Rwanda from the sky, a helicopter awaits you after your breakfast to reach the Nyungwe Natural Park. A short journey during which you fly over the most beautiful landscapes of Rwanda, in an explosion of green nature. On arrival, you will be welcomed in a new ultra-chic, exclusive and wild lodge. The day continues with the exploration of your new place of residence and its tropical forest.

Finally, the highlight of the stay arrives: this morning, you meet the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, in the middle of the jungle. You have to adapt to their rhythm, for this a very early departure is planned, but rest assured, you can return to the lodge for a well-deserved nap or a swim in the pool before leaving in the afternoon for a new experience around an African coffee.

Once again, this morning you are off to conquer the monkeys. Nyungwe Park is home to many species, including the extremely rare Colobus monkey, which you will not see anywhere else in the world. During this walk in the forest, let yourself be surprised by panoramas haloed in the color specific to dawn. Back at the lodge, regain some strength before embarking on a visit to the heart of the Park’s waterfalls.

Your last breakfast arrives before leaving this unique paradise on earth. But don’t be sad, your next accommodation promises to be even more magical! A helicopter takes you directly to the heart of the Volcanoes National Park. You pack your bags in your last lodge of the stay and its breathtaking bungalows, luxury bubbles buried in the trees.

After your breakfast while having enjoyed an exceptional panorama, you undertake the marvelous Gorilla trek. This experience takes place early in the morning because the gorillas are just as early risers as their chimpanzee counterparts. You then return to the lodge for lunch and then set off to explore the mountains during a hike in the heart of the forest to admire new panoramas.

Your Rwandan epic is about to end. After saying goodbye to the gorillas, you hit the road again in the morning to reach the contrasting capital of Kigali, which you will have the chance to visit in the afternoon.
