Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi,Kenya

Welcome in Kenya!Upon arrival in Kenya, you’ll be met at the airport by your driver and will be whisked away to your hotel to recover from your flight and enjoy your first taste of African hospitality. After a good night’s rest, you will be ready for the start of your safari tomorrow!

Day 2Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Onto the Maasai MaraYou’ll depart from Nairobi after breakfast and begin the long drive south to the Maasai Mara.Stopping along the way to take in the stunning view of the Great Rift Valley, you’ll arrive at the park in time for lunch at your lodge before enjoying an afternoon game drive through the iconic park. Home to the entirety of the Big Five, the Maasai Mara also plays host to the Wildebeest Migration each year and makes for a stunning backdrop for your first day of safari.

Day 3Explore the Maasai Mara

Wake before the dawn for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a Maasai Mara sunrise. After a quick cup of coffee, you’ll head out into the park to watch as the sun sets fire to the savannah and the big cats take advantage of the morning cool to search for a meal.Alternatively, you can take to the skies with a hot air balloon safari that will see you soar above all of the action before setting down on the plains for a champagne breakfast among the wildlife. Ask your safari expert about adding a hot air balloon adventure to your safari.You’ll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Maasai Mara. You may also opt to relax at your lodge in the morning, enjoy lunch on site, and then head out again in the afternoon once the weather has cooled off a bit.

Day 4Discover Lake Victoria

Bid farewell to the Maasai Mara and Kenya after an early breakfast and a morning game drive that takes you to the Isebania Tanzania border crossing.After the immigration formalities are done, you’ll meet your new driver and continue onto the picturesque shores of Lake Victoria.This is a long day of driving. Be prepared for a tiring day!

Day 5Onto the famous Serengeti Plains

After breakfast, you will depart for the gates of the famous Serengeti National Park. You will spend your day game driving through the western part of the Serengeti. Along the way, you will enjoy a packed lunch to make the most of your time in the park. You will then overnight in the Central Serengeti – an area best know for its big cat population.

Day 6Seronera, Ndutu Region

Ndutu region
The birthing grounds of the Great MigrationYou’ll be up before dawn so that we can enjoy a sunrise game drive across the Serengeti. See the sunset fire to the savannah as carnivores such as cheetahs and lions in action while it is still cool enough for them to hunt.After your sunrise game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for breakfast before taking a picnic lunch and heading down into the Ndutu region of the Serengeti/Ngorongoro Conservation Area.You’ll enjoy a day-long game drive through the region, taking in the shores of both Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek as well as the surrounding land where tens of thousands of young wildebeest take their first steps.

Day 7Ndutu, The famous Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognisable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool before proceeding to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Day 8Culture & Views of Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you’ll make your way south to the Kilimanjaro foothills, where you’ll overnight at the Maasai run Africa Amini LodgeThe true highlight of your stay at Africa Amini Maasai Lodge will be your chance to participate in a variety of cultural activities including spear throwing competitions, guided nature walks to learn about traditional Maasai medicine, dance performances, handicraft lessons, traditional cooking, and much more.For those wishing to see Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa Amini Life’s location makes it one of the best places in Tanzania to take in Kili’s majesty. Dawn wake-up calls (with much-needed coffee or tea) can be arranged to ensure you have your chance to see the Roof of Africa while the skies are clear.

Day 9Amboseli National Park

The Elephants of Amboseli You’ll depart your lodge after breakfast and begin your trip back towards Kenya.The drive itself is a scenic one, and you’ll once again go through immigration and meet with your new driver before proceeding to the park.Amboseli National Park is called the “Royal Court of Kilimanjaro’ with good reason, and you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive where you’ll see herds of wildebeest and zebras, proud lions, skulking hyenas, a variety of antelopes, and some of Kenya’s largest herds of elephants – all set against the startling backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 10Amboseli back to Nairobi Airport

Enjoy one last game driveYou’ll be up early today for your opportunity to see Kilimanjaro at dawn. The Roof of Africa is often shy, but in the early morning light, you’ll have your best chance to see the tallest mountain on the continent.You’ll then make your way back to Nairobi, where you’ll be taken to the airport.
